Challenges to Make the Yearbook During Covid-19

You may enjoy the 2020 year book that just came out, but there were many challenges behind the making of it. Due to ending the school year last year without having spring sports, there were many pages that needed to be filled. My yearbook team and I took this opportunity that might have been sad and hard to make the best out of what we could. When we were all in quarantine we had asked teachers and students to send in some exciting things they were doing at home during this time to help us fill the pages with some fun things to remember.

One of the struggles we are going to have with making the 2021 yearbook is that spectators might not be allowed at games. This will make it hard for us to take pictures for the yearbook. Also a lot of the fun things that happen as a high school student might be taken away this year such as prom, homecoming, powder puff, musicals, etc. Those are all things we normally put in the yearbooks but if we don’t have them we won’t be able to do that.

The best thing we can do right now is fill the pages with the little things that students are finding to do due to having their normal high school things be cancelled. In the end the 2020 and 2021 year books might have been a little hard to make but they will definitely be years to remember. Hopefully the year books can show some of the joy the Penns Valley school has made during this time.
