Clippers Eliminated as they Lose Game 7

On Tuesday night the LA Clippers played the Denver Nuggets in game 7 of the NBA western conference It was the semifinals for the NBA playoffs to see who would go to the western finals against the Lakers. The Clippers, who had a star-studded roster and were led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, had a 3-1 series lead that was blown. The game seven loss was the third straight game for the Clippers they had a double-digit lead and lost it.

After the game, Paul George said the following” It was obvious pressure to live up to  expectations.” Later the coach for the LA Clippers Doc Rivers said” I’m the coach and I’ll take any blame for it.” This year was the Clippers 8th time being in the playoffs since 2010. It was the Nuggets 6th time being in the playoffs since 2010.

One explanation for the Clippers loss was that their two best players Kawhi Leonard and Paul George scored a combined total of 24 points for the game. The Clippers have never made it to the western conference. On the other hand, the Nuggets have been there before and will go this year for the first time since the 2008-2009 NBA season when they faced the Lakers and lost to them. Also, the Lakers are the team that they will face this year the Lakers are led by Lebron James and Anthony Davis and the Nuggets are led By Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic.
