On September 14th, Penns Valley’s Junior high girl’s soccer team played Bellefonte at the top field. Penns Valley won 3-0, scoring 1 goal in the first half and 2 in the second.

Aliza Stover (an 8th grader at Penns Valley)  scored the first goal in the game, with amazing passes by her teammates. In the first half, everyone was doing good, Penns Valley kept Bellefonte from scoring any goals. Penns Valley took lots of shots but they didn’t go in. Penns Valley kept trying but they couldn’t score any more goals in the first half. During half time Penns Valley’s coach gave them a very inspirational speech which made them want to with this game. We then switched sides during the game.

The second half started off pretty good, Bellefonte had a few shots but none of them made it in. The second goal was made by Ceci Falls, another 8th grader at Penns Valley. After getting hurt last season she wanted to make some nice goals this season.  Bellefonte had a few more shots but again none of them went in. The last goal was scored by 8th grader Ryleigh Tice. Sadly Penns Valley couldn’t score anymore goals the rest of the game.

The results of their future games weren’t as good as this game’s. They played Bald Eagle in the stadium and lost 3-0. They played Central at Central and lost 4-0. Some of their future games include Clearfield on Monday, September 28th, home on the field on the hill. Huntingdon on Wednesday, September 30th, home at the field on the hill. West Branch on Thursday, October 2nd, home on the field on the hill, and finally against Tyrone at Tyrone on Saturday, October 3rd and many more to come.

Remember to stay safe by, wearing your mask, social distance, and wash your hands. Have a great day.
