Buzzer Beater Central

Buzzer Beater Central

In the NBA, we have seen countless buzzer beaters. In this article we are going to talk about the best buzzer beaters of all time. Now, these are not in order of any kind, just some of my favorites. The first one is in the 2009 eastern conference finals. Its game two with just a second left on the clock, Orlando up 95-93. The cavaliers pass Lebron James the ball at the top of the key. He jumps and lets it fly, and he drains it to win the game. For the next one, it’s the first round of playoffs in 2014. The Trailblazers face of the Rockets in game 6 with the Blazers just needing one more game to win to advance. But, they are down 98-96 with only .9 seconds left. But they had the ball, they inbound it to a full out running Damian Lillard who jumps backwards for a fade away deep 3 and absolutely drains it. Thanks to him, Portland advanced to the second round of the postseason for the first time in 14 years. Now how can we now include the infamous 1989 Michael Jordan buzzer beater. Famously known as ‘The Shot’ took place in game 5 of the Eastern Conference first round. The bulls are down 99-100 with just 3 seconds left on the clock. They inbound the ball to Michael Jordan who dribbles to about the left elbow and pulls up for a delayed jump shot.  He of course makes it and history is made as he jumps in the air in excitement for probably the most iconic play of all time.
