Penns Valley Football’s Last Home Game of The Season
November 4, 2020
As October comes to a close we near the end of Fall Sports in the 2020 season. As the modified COVID-19 version of homecoming festivities pursue through the week of October 26th with the school along with the homecoming court participating in spirit week the boys football team prepares for a rivalry matchup against the Bald Eagle Area Eagles. Although both teams will not further participate in PIAA district 6 AA playoffs this year, their intentions of being in possession of the bell do not vary. With only a slight trip over Centre Hall mountain the two teams are more than familiar enough with each other as they have traded wins and losses over the last two years. With this game being the last home game of the season you have to think that the Penns Valley Rams, especially the seniors are more than ready to take this challenge head on and full bore as they close in on Halloween weekend. Both Bald Eagle and Penns Valley have stooped into less than ideal starts to their season this year as both teams have gone from a district and state playoff run into a record that has both teams sitting under a .500 record. The Rams have 2 more games yet to follow after they take on Bald Eagle so maybe a trademark rivalry victory over their rivals from over the mountain will give them both the confidence and energy boost they need to turn their season around and finish with a winning record this year.
