The 2022 Truck Line Up
November 2, 2022
Trucks are always around you. Some people use trucks for work, some people use them in pulls and drag races, and some people use them for show. There are so many different types of trucks throughout the world. Some popular truck makers that you may know are Chevy, GMC, Ford, and Ram. These are the very common ones but there are other ones such as Toyota, Honda, and Nissan. Many of these trucks come with either gas engines or diesel. They also have many different trim options and size options. The bigger the size of the truck, the bigger engine they might have and they will be able to haul more weight depending on what the suspension and frame of the truck are rated for.
Typically diesel engines are able to haul more, get better mileage, and last longer. But they also cost more which makes them more expensive to fix too. Gas engines don’t typically get as good of mileage but they are way cheaper and way cheaper to fix typically. Another thing is that gas prices are cheaper than diesel prices. I am going to now go deeper into the specific brands of trucks.
To start with we have Ford. Ford has always made some pretty good-looking trucks and many different types. The most common trucks they make are the F-150, F-250, F-350, and sometimes the F-450. If it’s a diesel they call it a Power Stroke. They also make bigger trucks but these are the most common everyday ford trucks. The number behind the F which stands for ford is used to describe the size of the truck. The next thing that ford has is its different trim levels. They have the XL, STX, XLT, Lariat Sport, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. These trim levels go from the base model the whole way up to limited which is the most expensive and luxurious Ford trim package.
Next, we have Chevy and GMC. Chevy and GMC are both made by the same company and are very much alike. The only thing they have different is some names of things. But we’re going to focus on Chevy’s names. With Chevy, we have the 1500, 2500, and 3500 Silverado for their main truck. If it’s a diesel they call it a Duramax. Yet again the numbers meaning size of the truck and how much it can haul. The trim levels that Chevy has are WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, and High Country. Yet again going from the base model to high country being the best.
Last but not least we have the Ram. The Ram also has the 1500, 2500, and 3500 5th gen is what they call it. If it’s a diesel it’s called a Cummins. The different trim levels that Ram has are Tradesman, Tradesman HFE, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, Limited, and the TRX. Yet again this is going from the base model to the TRX being the most luxurious.
So these are just some of the trucks and all of these types of trucks everything is based on only the 2022 year. There have been trucks around for many decades and many other trucks than what I have talked about in this article. People do all types of crazy things with these trucks that you can see all over the internet. I hope you learned something from this article and enjoyed it.
