Lady Rams Basketball

Skylar Fleshman

The Lady Rams basketball team started their season off on November 18th. The team was very excited to get their season going. This year’s team is led by the seniors, Paige Dobson, Avery Dinges, Julia Emel, Skylar Fleshman, and Ann-marie McMurtrie. We asked Ann-marie how she feels the season will go. Ann-Marie stated, “I feel the season will be fun and if we work hard we will make it far.” They had many practices after school and during Thanksgiving break to get ready for the first game of the season. The team had their first game on December 6th, against East Juniata. Many students came out to support the girls and their competition. The Ram Dome had a great turnout for the game, as it was the first game of the season, and The Hope Fund Awareness Night. The Lady Rams had an exhilarating game, the energy was high and the final score was 52-20. The team was so excited to get the season started with a win.

The team then traveled to Williamsburg on December 8th to play the Lady Pirates, unfortunately, the Lady Rams lost 61-33. They put up a hard fight against the Lady Pirates, but could not come out with the win. The Lady Rams play the following night on December 9th against Lewisburg. They are hoping for another great turnout from the students. The Lady Dragons will be a tough team to beat, but if the Lady Rams work together and play hard they are sure to come out with a win. Come out and support the Lady Rams this season it is sure to be entertaining!
