Paint with NAHS!

Leah Meyer, Journalist

The National Art Honor Society will be hosting a fundraiser during RAM and after school on Thursday, April 13th. Join the artists of Penns Valley in the art room to paint handmade pottery and enjoy complementary snacks and drinks! The art room will be open at RAM time for students and it will be open to the community after school ends at 3:15PM. The painting and refreshments will continue until 6PM.

NAHS club members and other students will be preparing flower pots prior to the event with the festivity of the spring season upon us. There will be a selection of flower pot sizes to choose from, which will determine the price. Small flower pots will be $5, medium will be $10, and large will be $15.

After the event is over, the painted pots will be glazed and fired in the kiln. The pick up day for the finished pottery will be one week after the event, after school on April 20th.

The club wanted to come up with a fundraiser that is hands-on for the students and community which enables artistic expression. These pots are a great way to welcome in the spring season and could be great gifts for any upcoming holidays such as Easter and Mother’s Day!

This fundraiser’s proceeds benefit National Art Honor Society’s trip to New York in the spring! All contributions are appreciated!
