As of last year (2022) Penns Valley has not beaten the Clearfield Bisons ever. The long-lasting streak of 19 years. The real question is, will this year make it 20, or will the Rams come on top? As of this year so far, Jackson Jomig has attempted 88 throws and completed 59 of them for 697 yards. His top receivers are John Meyer (The Slant God) who has 28 receptions for 387 yards and Ty Watson who is also our running back who has 11 receptions for 124 yards and 106 carries for 710 yards.
Romig is a very talented player with the ball in his hands, he is a treat in the pocket and on his feet. Now it is up to his starting linemen to block and give this man time to get the ball to our most valuable playmakers in order to win the game.
Clearfield however also has very talented players. They stand at an impressive 4-1 record as well as the Rams. Will Dominco (The Quarterback for the Bisons) has thrown for 101 attempts and completed 55 of them for an impressive 883 yards
He along with Brady Collins have the same amount of carries (39) and they both average so far 275 rushing yards. Dominco has developed a strong bond with a wide receiver that is well named Carter Freeland. He has 24 receptions for 494 receiving yards and also carries the football in the backfield for 52 yards so far this season.
What do you think? Will the Rams have what’s in them to beat the Bisons? Will Romig and his line have the same mindset to move the ball and put some points on the board? Find out by coming to the game, it is at the Clearfield High School on Friday, September 29th, @7pm. Be there and be proud to cheer on our Penns Valley Rams!
