The Penns Valley Rams are set to take on the Central Dragons this coming Friday 10/6. This game will take place at the Penns Valley Rams home football field at the Penns Valley Area High School. This game is crucial for the team as it could guarantee them a spot in Districts regardless of what happens the rest of the reason. They have to win in order for that to happen though. When interviewed wide receiver John Meyer said,” I think we’ll have a good chance on Friday.”
In the years that Penns Valley has played the Central Dragons, they have never beaten them. This Friday Penns Valley will be looking to exact their revenge for all the previous years of defeat. Hopes are high as this is one of the best Rams teams the school has had in many years and quite possibly the last real contender for the District for a long time as fewer and less talented youth are pursuing Football as a sport of choice.
Despite the lack of confidence from Central and others Penns Valley remains confident as Head Coach Mr. Tobias will be looking to lead his troops into battle and prevail with his lineup of stars. These stars include starting Quarterback Jackson Romig and running back Ty Watson.
The Rams have been having constant battles with injuries throughout the year as they lost their star receiver Danin Kerstetter for multiple weeks and other slot receiver Fletcher Ironside to a dislocated shoulder. This will definitely limit them as a team for this Friday but the Rams have been playing hard and well all season and this Friday will be no different. We will just have to wait and see what the score says when the final whistle blows.
