As the regular season comes to a close for the Rams they will be set to take on Richland, at Richland on Friday, November 3rd. The Rams ended the season 6-4 and are seeded 7th in the playoffs. A highlight of their season so far include Ty Watson setting the all-time points record in Centre County. You can see all of the team leaders on MaxPreps and their current stats for the year entering this game.
As for the lows, needless to say, there are a lot of injuries on the team with the main one being star quarterback Jackson Romig being out from his position. He cannot throw but he is still on the field as a wide receiver for the Rams and has proven to be quite the weapon. Jarrett Stover will be stepping in as the new starting quarterback for the Rams and he has quite an arm. but they will also need him on the defensive side of the ball as he plays defensive end. Danin Kerstetter has recently come back from a broken collarbone and had this to say about Richland: “They are very big”. Fletcher Ironside will not see the field again this year due to his injury.
The Rams have had a tough season so far with all injuries and mishaps on the field but can they rally back in the playoffs a few more games to have a chance at the district title they came so close to last year? This week they play a very injured Richland team and if they can get their bearings with this new lineup, maybe they will have a shot at District.
