Christmas is almost here and the festivity is in full swing for most people; however, there are many children in America who are not fortunate enough to recieve presents on christmas day. This is unfair because christmas is a time of giving and joyfulness. There is a way that this can be helped though. An organization called toys for tots is a great way for you to help the community and give a kid a christmas they will remember.

Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. It was founded in 1947 by reservist Major Bill Hendricks.

The organizations main goal is “bringing the joy of Christmas and delivering a message of hope to needy children”

Luckily for you, donating is an easy task because our schools student council is doing a toys for tots drive and all you need to do is bring in a toy or two to give an unfortunate kid the christmas experience you know and love.

The school drive goes until December 7th so time is running out; however, if you this message reaches you too late you can still donate on their website up until December 20th at https://www.toysfortots.org/

Donating to toys for tots is a selfless act that is a gift in itself. Donating to the organization will greatly help Christmas 2023 to be a success.
