On Wednesday January 10th, the Lady Rams Basketball team kept their winning streak alive. The girls have had a winning streak of 3 after their recent win over Bald Eagle. The scores for the night ended as 45-21. The rams dominated and only let their opponents make little progress in the second half. With only 5 points put up by the eagles in the entire second half, the rams were able to build their lead. Senior player Scotty Dinges shares, “This was a big game and a big win for us. Bald Eagle has always been one of our rivals and the fact we were able to not just beat them, but by over 20 points is a big accomplishment. Our team is finally starting to come together and get in the groove we’ve needed.” The night of this big game Dinges held title of the highest score with 17 points under her name. Following her was Ellie Romig with 7.
Despite a slow start in the first half with only 13 points, the rams fought back. Instead of coming out with a losing attitude, the rams left the locker room with more confidence than before. No one knows what was said in that locker room, but the demeanor changed and so did their play. In the second half alone, the rams more than tripled their points made in the first with an overall count of 32 points. The rams finished by dominating the eagles, and securing another win into their record. The team will continue their season with home games on 1/12 and 1/15 next week. Come out and support your lady rams!
