The Penns Valley thespians are back at it again with another musical to bring to the stage. For two months, the cast and crew of this year’s musical, Mamma Mia, have been working hard to make this musical one of the best Penns Valley High School has ever performed. Just one look at this year’s musical will have you completely hooked and waiting for more.
The musical Mamma Mia takes place on Kalokairi, a small island off the coast of Greece, where the residents are restlessly getting ready for the wedding of a local girl. Sophie Sheridan, the lucky girl in this wedding, has lived her life with only her mother as a parent. Her father has been a mystery for twenty years. Her mother, Donna Sheridan, has refused to give any mention of her father. What happens though, whenever Sophie finds out that she has three possible dads?
Mrs. Mccole, the director of this year’s musical, said “I absolutely think this show will be a success. The cast and crew have been working extremely hard to bring this show to life. People should absolutely come to the show. It’s such a great show; the costumes and characters are so fun. The show is so amazing and tells a really great story about a mother and daughter.”
