The people of Penns Valley are somewhat decently interested in the beautiful sport that is known as “football” here or “American football” if you are from outside of the U.S.A. As of right now in October of 2024 the NFL is the most popular league to watch in the U.S. I am running this poll just to vanquish my dying curiosity on which teams people favor here in Penns Valley (I’ve only been here for 1 month of school, I am a new student).

I interviewed Julian Battaglia, a freshman at PVHS, and when I asked him about what is it is his favorite team, he said “Pittsburgh Steelers” and when I asked why he stated “My dad likes the steelers, so I kinda inherited it” I also interviewed Max Dinges and he said “The Baltimore Ravens, I really like Lamar Jackson, I have been a fan of Lamar Jackson since he was at Louisville.” I interviewed Joel Conklin, a junior at Penns Valley  on this topic and he said “I like the Minnesota Vikings because I was a fan of Dalvin Cook when he was at my favorite college Florida State.” So these quotes conclude that the students of Penns Valley ‘s interests are all over the place with football teams due to a variety of different reasons. Around this area, there are mainly two teams that people are fans of here, Either the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Philadelphia Eagles. Both of these teams are located in Pennsylvania so it does make sense why those two teams would be the top 2.  Whether it is a player or family members watch the sport people do see the sport and get invested into it.
