What is YL?

Young Life is a Christian ministry that reaches all fifty states and over 100 countries worldwide. Their mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith.

YL in Penns Valley?

Young Life in Penns Valley is a club open to anyone in grades 9-12. It is run by six amazing leaders: Josh, Kelly, Leah, Noah, Bailey, and Mackenzie. These leaders take time out of their day to hang out with high school students and help them through their struggles. This club meets most Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

How to join

Anyone is welcome and encouraged to come to young life. Contact @yl_pennsvalley on Instagram to contact the leaders, or go to the Center County website. 

Events

Young Life has many events and camps that they go to throughout the year. They go to a camp for a weekend in the fall, a camp for a week in the summer, and a hotel for a weekend in the spring. The weekend in the fall known as ¨Fall weekend¨ is coming up on November 15th-17th. This takes place at Camp Ligonier this year and is an amazing opportunity for high schoolers. Students will experience a fun weekend with friends from Center County and over two hundred other students from around Pennsylvania. Elle Dinges, a junior at Penns Valley said, “It is a great way to strengthen relationships with friends” and Luke Ruoff, also a Junior at Penns Valley, said “I think fall weekend is an amazing experience and opportunity.”
