Many people have different holiday traditions. Penns Valley has a couple of holiday traditions that help to make the Christmas season a little more exciting for the students and teachers.
This year Penns Valley has given the senior class the option to decorate gingerbread houses like they used to in elementary school. Along with this Penns Valley will also be hosting its annual Jingle Bell jam on Friday 12/20 where students get to pick a movie they would like to watch for the last couple hours of the school. If students do not select a film they will be assigned to a silent study hall.
The Rams leadership club has also put in effort to help make the holiday season a little more enjoyable for the students and teachers. The Rams leadership club has come together to come up with 12 days of holiday cheer spirit days for the students and teachers to have fun dressing up. Some of these days include: Polar Express Day (wear pajamas), Grinch Day (wear green), and Holiday family photo (match with a friend or class). These are just a couple of the special day options during the holiday season.
The last tradition that PV does for the holidays is the Christmas creepies that Mrs Ribka organizes each year. This is a game for the staff where Christmas ornaments are hidden in their rooms. If an ornament is hidden in your room you have to pay 50 cents. If the teacher chooses they can buy the creepy insurance where they would have to pay $5 to not have a creepy hidden in their room.
These are just a few of the holiday traditions at PV that help make the holidays more enjoyable.
