On December 9th, The Lady Rams took on Central Mountain and won by an overtime thriller by just 5 points. At a Monday night basketball game, the Rams came out strong against the Wildcats gaining a 12-point lead in the first half. However that did not stop the wildcats, They continued to battle taking the lead in the second half and eventually taking the game into overtime. Penns Valley managed to pull through in overtime, ending the Wildcats fight 76-71.
The leading scorer for the Wildcats was Taylor Doyle with 17 and her sister Ava was next with 16. Lena Walker was not far behind with another 15. Penns Valley had some clutch foul shots from Lilly Smith and Elle Dinges to get themselves to overtime at 63-63 when the Buzzer rang. Penns Valley put themselves out of reach hitting 2 consecutive 3-pointers from Dinges.
The leading scorer for Penns Valley was Dinges with 19, Sydnie Dalton finished with 14 and Ellie Romig and Lilly Smith ended with 11 points each. What an awesome performance from both teams. Wishing better luck for Central Mountain with the rest of their season and the next time they take on the Lady Rams.
