The Remaining Days
January 21st marks the last day of the semester for the 2024-2025 school year. Freshmen are completing their first semester of high school and seniors are on their second to last semester of their high school career. With only four full school days left, it is crunch time for many students and teachers. With all of the final homework assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects, Penns Valley students need to lock in. Many teachers are struggling to keep up with the gradebook, and students are not making it any easier.
Finals
Blocks 2 and 4 are scheduled to have their finals on Thursday, while Blocks 1 and 3 are planning to have their final tests on Friday (if applicable for the class). Fletcher Ironside answers in response to a question about
how he was feeling about his finals, “Not good. I might fail that Trig one no lie”. This demonstrates the intensity of the testing. The weight of the finals exemplifies the significance of them. The final test/project of a class is weighted 20% in the grade book. To access grades at PVHS, you can visit Skyward. All students have the right to access their grades at any time.
The Switch: Next Semester.
After January 21st, all students will transfer classes and have their schedules switched up. For many, this is exciting. For others, this may be seen as disappointing and unfortunate. Seniors will be entering their last semester and have bittersweet memories from their high school careers.
