The Penns Valley Boys Basketball Team defeated the Philipsburg-Oscelola Mountaineers this past Friday with a score of 64-37, this victory brought the Rams overall record to 6-6. The Rams had a rough start to the season starting the year with a record of zero wins and four losses. Despite their record, the Rams seemed to find a spark though as in their past 8 games they have gone 6-2 to boost them up to seventh in the District Playoff Seedings with 11 spots in the District Playoffs this year.
The Rams will have two tough games this week, with games against Clearfield and Richland, both winnable games that the Rams need to win for big points in district play. Penns Valleys’ Junior forward Noah Patel had this to say about the season so far, “It was not how we wanted to start it but I think we have found our groove and we just need to ride it out”.
With nearly half of the season gone by, the Rams will need to keep winning and performing to try and lock in a home District playoff game, something the Rams haven’t been able to do in years. The Rams will have a tough second half of the season and will need everyone’s support so come out and support your Rams and pack the Ram Dome!
