School is where kids come to get educated, learn communication skills, and prepare for their futures. Many kids understand the importance of school but feel bored when they are there. Because boredom at school is so prominent, I researched some ways to make the day more interesting

Why do kids hate school?

Loads of students dislike school for a variety of reasons. Some believe that they will not use the information they are learning in their future careers. Others find it hard to pay attention in class due to having poor attention spans. Furthermore, some do not like to be told what to do.

Ways to make school more fun?

It can be hard to make school fun, but it is not impossible. One strategy is to be involved with sports, clubs, or other extracurricular activities. these activities can students something to look forward to after school, and an incentive to do well in school. Sports for example require student-athletes to do well in school to play. Another way to make school more interesting is to interact more often with peers and teachers. This limits the amount of boredom due to less focus on the clock, and more focus on the tasks at hand. Overall, being involved during the school day allows for a more interesting day.

Two high school students, Elle Dinges (Grade 11) and William Herman (Grade 12), agreed that school is more enjoyable when taken less seriously. A sophomore, Spencer Althouse, said,  “School is better with friends”.
