Apple Cider Season

Apple Cider Season

The weather’s getting colder and leaves are changing colors, so you know what that means– it’s apple season! The orchards are ripe for picking and stores are selling cider by the gallons.

Autumn is the perfect season for enjoying apple cider. It’s when the apples are ripe and the weather is nice so you can enjoy it hot or cold! In the fall, you can also go spend a day at the Apple Cider Festival at Muskrat Beach #2 in Patton, PA. The festival is on Sunday October 13 from 9am – 5pm.

This festival offers a ton of outdoor activities that are fun for the whole family. There are an infinite number of options, including a petting zoo, hay rides around the park, pony rides for children, and chainsaw carving.

There are over 100 venders at the festival including food venders selling amazing fall foods and craft stands selling quality products to the public. There’s also live music on stage and even Environmental and Recreational Safety educational booths. And of course, there will be lots of (both hot and cold) apple cider for sale!

Parking and admission to this event are free, however donations will be collected by the Friends of Prince Gallitzin to help with park improvement projects and are greatly appreciated.

This festival is a great opportunity to spend quality time with your family and friends while doing all sorts of fun activities, and of course enjoying some delicious apple cider. So bring your friends, your parents, your little brother, your cousin, your aunt, your uncle, your grandparents, and even your dog out to Muskrat Beach #2 this Sunday for a great day in the beautiful fall weather!
