PIAA District 6 and Mountain League Volleyball Standings

Standing together for the National Anthem

Girls Volleyball is a very competitive sport when it comes to the Mountain League and District 6. Each year, to make it into the district playoff competition’s, they take the top 8 teams from the district to compete against each other in the playoffs, which are very competitive.

All of the teams that are in the Mountain League for Volleyball all compete throughout their regular season in hopes of making it into the district playoffs. This year Penns Valley, Bald Eagle Area, Bellefonte, Central Martinsburg, Clearfield, Huntingdon, Philipsburg-Osceola, and Tyrone have all competed against each other in very competitive matches for their hopes to be in the District 6 playoffs.

Currently, the Bald Eagle Area eagles are undefeated, similar to last year’s competition, and are hoping to take the State championship and win districts again, but other teams have become competitive in attempts to change the chances.

Currently in District 6, the top 12 ranked teams in order are Bald Eagle Area, Central Cambria, Cambria Heights, West-Shamokin, Philipsburg Osceola Area, Tyrone Area, Forest Hills, your own Penns Valley Rams, Ligonier Valley, Penn Cambria, Westmont Hilltop, and Bellwood Antis.

Currently, your Girls Lady Rams Volleyball team is placed 8th in the district 6, with good chances of making it into the district 6 playoffs, which officially begin October 28th, once all of the teams have had the chance to compete against the teams that they normally do in their regular season schedules.

The Lady Rams recent win against the Bellefonte Raiders on Thursday have made their chances better of getting into districts. The Rams took the Raiders to four sets, winning the second, third, and fourth set for the overall win. The set scores were as follows, (17-25, 25-22, 25-21, and 25-19).

The Lady Rams currently only have three games left in there season with two back to back this upcoming week and one additional game away.
