4 day school week

4 day school week

Jessica Bressler a 13-year-old living in Spring Mills was interviewed about her thoughts of a 4 day school week at Penns Valley. She has gone to Penns Valley her whole life starting Rebersburh Elementry in kindergarten, next Penns Valley Intermediate, last Penns Valley high school. She enjoys sleeping, watching Netflix, going shopping, hanging out with friends and family, twirling, and playing volleyball. She believes having a 4 day school week would be beneficial because she could spend more time enjoying these things that she loves. Jessica thinks more students will agree to have a 4 day school week rather than teachers. To change this she would write a persuasive essay to staff members and the principal, get students to sign a petition and take a vote. Although some things that need to be considered are going into summer or staying at school for longer hours. This will help students because they will have more time to spend with family, less homework which can help with stress, and more sleep. We can prove this will help students by their test scored before and after the change. The opinions of teachers will be important because they plan the schedules for classes each day. If we change to a 4 day school week the plans will be interrupted. If not everyone agreed to this change we would first try to convince them. If they still disagree we will take a poll with teachers, students, and staff and go with the higher vote. If the 4 day school week actually happened we would go into summer or find an alternative way to make up the Fridays.
