All around us here in Penns valley there are multiple cases of Covid. Centre County has had a total of 4,138 cases with only 16 deaths. Most of these cases are from college students who go to Penn State. Here in centre county we average 51 cases per day and over the last 10 days centre county has had 552 cases. There is a death rate of 9.2 people out of every 100,000 people. Bald eagle has tested positive with only one case. Penns Valley has tested positive for one test. State college has the highest positive case numbers. Pennsylvania has had a total of 206,000 positive cases and 2,332 cases were added today on October 29th. Out of the 206,000 positive cases 8,789 of them turned into deaths. The worst county in Pennsylvania for Covid is Philadelphia county with a total of 43,740 positive cases and 1,882 deaths. Right now we are looking at a spike in Covid cases. Businesses are remaining open still but you must wear a mask to some places where as others it isn’t mandatory but it is requested. Most places that make it mandatory restaurants until you are seated at your table and some stores. Some other places that aren’t mandatory but are requested are Sheetz/gas stations. Businesses are sanitizing equipment, hands and everything people touch to keep everything clean and reduce the risk of spreading it. Don’t forget to wear your mask and keep clean for your own safety.
