Newly Discovered Animals 2020

Do you ever wonder if we are living in a time period where new animals are being discovered? Believe it or not, we discover an average of 18,000 new species every year. To think about that is just crazy. It makes you wonder why we never hear these types of things on the news. We always hear about bad things going on in the world and I believe we need to focus more on cool and good things. A university of Turku has discovered 17 new spider species, 23 insects, a bristly millepede and a monitor lizard. Thats just one university alone. Some of the new animals I was looking at and here are a couple of my favorite. The Rungwecebus kipunji is a monkey that was found in Mount Rungwe. This monkey is so cool. The face on these monkeys are so adorable, they are so fluffy. They believe that about 1,100 of them live here. I find it crazy that they believe that 1,100 of them live here and they are just now discovering these animals. Another pretty cool animal that was discovered is the Australian Peacock Spider. This spider is unbelievably cool but at the same time scary. The colors on this spider are so amazing, its so colorful it has blue, turquoise, red, orange, light blue and many more colors. The last animal that I found cool is the striped face fruit bat. This is a light brown bat with some white on its face. It was discovered on the island of Mindoro. These are a couple of the cool animals I came across wondering about new species that have been discovered in 2020 and there are thousands of more.
