Chess is  one of the oldest and most popular board games. Chess is a game played between two opponents on opposite sides of the board containing 64 squares of alternating colors. Each player has 16 pieces, 1 king, 1 queen, 2 rooks, 2 bishops, 2 knights, and 8 pawns. And the goal of the game is to checkmate the other players king. There are many reasons why chess is such a great game, first off chess is a fun exercise for the brain, when playing, your brain will be challenged to exercise logic, develop pattern recognition, make decisions both visually, and analytically, and test your memory. Chess is very good for developing problem solving skills, in every chess game that you play, you are faced with challenges and problems that you have to solve in order to play your best game. Chess can help you think ahead and not rush your decisions, and weigh the pluses and minuses of your choices. And this correlates to everyday challenges, and helps you to face everyday challenges, and just like in chess, we try to make the best choices to develop positive outcomes for our lives. Chess is just one of those games that bring people together, chess is one of the oldest games in the world dating back over 1500 years. The game of chess has evolved  as it spread around the globe to the game we play today. As a result, this journey brought  people together from different cultures, ages, and backgrounds over a common bond and passion for the game.
