         With the new school year beginning, soccer is in session! The girl’s high school soccer team at Penns Valley currently has a record of 7-0. They started off the season strong with a 3-0 win against Central Mountain. Later in the week, they faced Central Mountain again. They managed to pull through that game with a 1-0 win. For the next game, they traveled to Huntington to face the Bearcats. After a 40-minute rain delay, the Rams started off strong continuing to score throughout the game. The game ended with a 5-0 win for Penns Valley.

         With a strong 3-game winning streak, the next game they would play would be Tyrone. Tyrone and Penns Valley were tied at halftime 0-0. As the second half began, Tyrone started off with a goal making the score 1-0. Penns Valley managed to come back and score 2 goals and end with a big win over Tyrone. In the next game, they faced Moshannon Valley at Moshannon Valley. They were the dominant team over Moshannon Valley proving that with a 7-0 win.

         In the sixth game, they played against Bellefonte at home. At halftime, the Rams were leading the game 2-1. As they started the second half, they were quick to boost the score ending the game with a 4-1 win. In their latest game, they faced Bald Eagle, their toughest opponent so far in the season. They managed to pull off a 2-1 win scoring their second goal with three minutes left in the game. The ongoing season looks promising for Penns Valley. For their next game, they will face Philipsburg Osceola at home Monday night. They look to keep a winning record as the season progresses hoping to make districts.
