This Friday’s game of the week is the Penns Valley Rams versus the Bald Eagles. The Penns Valley Rams have had an astonishing start to their season with a whopping 3-0 start. They had victories over Line Mountain 41-13, Bellefonte 34-20, and Huntingdon 41-14. Bald Eagle has had a slow start to their season with 1-2. Bald Eagle has lost to Troy 20-9, Clearfield 7-3, and had a victory against Bellefonte 48-0. This game is going to have high stakes between the two teams. For years, the two teams have been having a trophy passed around to the winning team. This trophy is a medium-sized bell that was found in an old fort. Both teams are going to be dueling it out. The Eagles are gonna try their hardest to keep the bell and the Penns Valley Rams are gonna try their hardest to take that bell.

The Eagles struck first early in the first quarter making the score 7-0. The Rams fought back hard and scored quickly right after the Eagles, tying the game 7-7. In the second quarter, the Eagles shut out the Rams and scored two touchdowns but missed an extra point, making the score 20-7. During the third quarter, the Rams started off strong by driving down the field and scoring, making the score 20-14. After forcing the Eagles to punt the ball, the Rams drove down the field and scored again, putting the Rams in the lead 21-20. Bald Eagle quickly answered back with a quick touchdown and 2-point conversion to end the third quarter putting them in the lead again 28-21. Penns Valley started off the fourth quarter explosive by driving down the field and scoring again. They missed the extra point making the score 28-27. Bald Eagle then dominated on offense scoring twice. The game then ended with a Bald Eagle victory over the Penns Valley Rams with a score of 42-27. We interviewed a player after the game, Number 28 Miles Brooks, “ I think we are going to study a lot of film, work hard at practice this week, and start to get our attitudes right so we can start to have more success on the field”.
