Penns Valley Turkey Trot Comes Around Again

It’s that time of year, the leaves are changing, and the weather is turning colder. That means that the annual Penns Valley Turkey Trot 5k is coming soon. The Turkey Trot is put together by Mrs. Stitzer and the National Honor Society to benefit the Hope Fund of Penns Valley. It will take place Thursday, November 24th, at the Old Gregg School. Check-in will take place at 8 AM, with the race starting at 9 AM. Pre-Registration was due by today, November 1st, but don’t you worry, there’s still Race-Day Registration. Race-Day Registration will be 25 dollars and unfortunately will not come with a free t-shirt like the Pre-Registration. As a student of Penns Valley, I highly recommend all runners, joggers, walkers, or anyone to sign up and support the Hope Fund. The Penns Valley Hope Fund provides short-term financial assistance to residents in the Valley. These residents can be chosen if they face serious financial difficulties due to medical crises, personal disasters, and more. By coming out and participating in the Turkey Trot, you are directly supporting neighbors, friends, and peers. The National Honors Society hopes to see you there with a smile on your face and your running shoes on!
