Are You Feeling Lucky?!

Aiden Claar

“Bingo!” Everyone loves that invigorating feeling of standing up and shouting bingo after you stamp the last dot onto your card. You can feel this rush of adrenaline too, the only question is, do you feel lucky? If so, there is a community Bingo Night rapidly approaching.

On February 12, at 1:00 pm, there will be a Bingo Night Fundraiser held at the Penns Valley Area High School cafeteria. At the door, you’ll have to pay twenty-five dollars, unless you purchase a pre-sale ticket, which is only twenty dollars. Seniors will sell these tickets. The money and forms for pre-sale tickets will be due on February 10th and will be available for pickup at the door the day of the event. Volunteer students and parents will be running the Bingo. If you would like to volunteer, click here! To partake in the bingo event, you must be 18 years or older, as there will be prizes.

There will be 20 games with cash for bingo prizes, basket raffles, and 50/50 drawings and rip-off tickets with cash prizes. Money will not be the only thing to make you drool; there will also be food! There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ, and baked goods.

This Bingo Night Fundraiser aims to gather funds for the senior class. These funds will go to many unique events, including the senior trip and the senior picnic. As Lorie Claar, the president of the Senior Class Parent Fundraising Committee, said, “We hope to use these funds to provide the seniors with one last pleasant memory together before they all move their separate way.” This fundraiser has great potential to raise a large sum of money for the senior class, but there is one key element they need: YOU! So, what are you waiting for? Step up and test your luck!
