The Millhiem Pool

I’m sure we all loved or still do love the last day of school, especially with it being a half day. Well, the Millhiem Pool has an event to brighten up the last day of school even more. The Splash Bash is a swimming party to celebrate the last day of school. You get one free meal that consists of a hot dog, a soda, and one bag of chips. There’s even a Dj and you can request any songs you want to, as long as they are appropriate. There are even games sometimes so when you get home get into your swimsuit and join us at the Millhiem Pool. The Millhiem pool doesn’t just offer a stellar Splash Bash, it also has a swim team called the Penns Valley Penguins. The Penns Valley Penguins have morning and night practices every day, and on Friday instead of normal practice, you have a fun practice where you play games. They have a meet every Thursday. The best part of the swim team is the end-of-the-season party. There is an award ceremony and you might even be able to pie a swim instructor. There’s food and games and a lot of swimming. Penguin Katie Warriner says, “Swim team is the best sport. It is a lovely way to hang out with your friends. It is a wonderful way to get exercise in the summer when there aren’t many sports. You get to go to the pool every single day. It’s super fun and you can learn how to go really fast and then you beat all of your friends. Swimming is a wonderful sport.” Penguin Lily Runyan says, “It is really fun. Swim meets are really fun, sometimes, but I also really like night practices. One time we were doing really goofy stuff and it was hilarious. I also really like doing IMs.” All in all, the Millheim Pool is a great place to go and it holds many fun events, so make sure you join us this summer.
