The Penguins-
Are you secretly a penguin? Do you want to become a Penguin? The Penns Valley Penguins are a part of CPSL (Central Pennsylvania Swim League). Over the past few years, the team has grown to over 170 kids! We are located at the Millheim Pool inside the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Park, Millheim PA. We swim at and host Welch, Park Forest, and Science Park. We have swim meets on Thursdays. The team is filled with dedicated parent volunteers who help run swim meets. They help with timing the races, judging strokes and turns, setting and cleaning up before and after meets, seating swimmers, and our amazing concession stand.
Practices-
Since our team is growing we have 3 different time slots for morning practices. We have morning practices Monday-Friday (excluding meet days). Fridays are special because we only have a short recovery workout and then play a game. Some often played games are Sharks and Minnows, diving board contests, races with flippers, etc. The swim team holds evening practice a couple of times a week to help families that can’t go to morning practices. Summer of 2023, we held them on Mondays and Wednesday nights, but we hope to have more!
