Penns Valley Key Club is known to hold many drives throughout the year to help those in need including hygiene products, and food drives. A new drive that the Penns Valley Key Club has decided to participate in is a hurricane relief package drive as requested by the Spring Township fire departments. All donations will be made into kits and shipped to North Carolina hurricane victims. The kits will be as follows: Hygiene Kits This will include items such as Gallon ziplock bags, hand towels, washcloths, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, mouthwash, hairbrushes, bandages, and deodorant. Kids’ kits will include shoe box plastic containers, small games, playing cards, baby formula, 70-page spiral notebooks, sketch pads, pencils, markers, etc, . Lastly, flood kits will be made and include items such as 5-gallon buckets, Liquid laundry detergent, bleach, dish soap, liquid household cleaners, kitchen and work gloves, scrub brushes, dish soap, heavy-duty trash bags, scouring pads, 50 ft cloths lines, cloths pins, duct tape, and N 95 masks. All items listed above can be brought to the homeroom or ram time teacher of the student/family donating. The drive will start Monday, October 14th, and will held until Friday, October 25th. Items should be placed in boxes of the student’s homeroom or ram time teacher that the Penns Valley Key Club will pass out. The winning homeroom or ram time of the drive will receive doughnuts as a reward for the donations. All students at both PVEI and PVHS may bring in donation items. All donations are highly appreciated.
