All State Players

Penns Valley has had seven remarkable athletes that have been rewarded All-State for their sports. For volleyball Jadyn Butler, for soccer we have Hannah Montminy, for cross country we have Colton Sands and Brendan Colwell, and for football we have Aaron Tobias, Logan Snyder, and Austin Fisher. All of these students have worked incredibly hard for both their athletic career and their academic career.

Jadyn Butler who is the libero on the Penns Valley Volleyball team was named an All-State player of 2019. Jadyn works hard in the classroom and on the court. All of her teammates not only respect her but they look up to her. The volleyball teams season ended abruptly after the loss in their district game against Bellwood Antis. Having a record of 10-8.

Hannah Montminy had a remarkable season, after being double teamed every game and still finding ways to score she doesn’t quit and works hard everyday at practice and in games. She is very highly respected by her fellow teammates and coaches. Hannah is what all little kids look up to and she is a great role model to all students, she shows that you can achieve so many things in sports and still do incredibly well at school. The soccer season didn’t end how she wanted it, without making it to districts and having a record of  7-9-2.  But overall Hannah is a great example of what a high school athlete should be.

The cross country team had two All-Stars, Colton Sands and and Brendan Colwell. Both Colton and Brendan made it to states and got 1st and 2nd place. Both boys are in honors classes and have done so much for the Penns Valley community. They work so hard everyday even when not in season, they pick people up and help others. Their record was 8-0, won Districts and the Mountain League title.

The football team had three All-State honorees. They had quarterback Aaron Tobias, wide receiver Austin Fisher, and tight end Logan Snyder. They three young men got the 2019 PA Football News Coaches Class 2A Football Team and made the first team. They also made first team for the 2019 PA Writers Class 2A All State team. Aaron broke the state record for the passing record. All three of these young men have accomplished many great things this season and are great role models for these younger kids coming up. The team played Richland in districts and lost which made their record 10-2-0, which they also won the Mountain League title.
