Penns Valley Sports

Penns Valley Sports

Do you ever wonder how many sports are played at Penns Valley? There are 13 to be exact, but do they really keep the students at Penns Valley interested? For instance how many people actually played soccer in the fall? Not too many to mention, that is your answer. This is partly because other sports didn’t want to cut their players. Or another suggestion, students should have a sports tryout day to experience a sport that could interest them. If they did so, the students would have different possibilities. Maybe, some students would actually enjoy the sport that they didn’t even know how to play. So, that is why I want to give some other suggestions to the Penns Valley district for other potential sports. And also for these other sports to be able to field a whole team.

Suggestive sports that should be at Penn’s Valley

The first suggestion I want to give is Field hockey (How to Play Field Hockey – For Beginners (Part 1 of 3) – YouTube) Field hockey is simply put, field hockey is a game where teams come together on a field and use hockey sticks to drive a ball into a net in order to score points. The winner is determined by whoever has the most points at the end of the game. The gear for this sport is expensive. So, the Penns Valley school might have to do Fundraisers. But once you or your child/children get the equipment you can use it for multiple seasons. I would recommend less than 5 seasons, this is because you could change the position that you are playing, or you grew out of the stick that you had. But, for everything else, I would keep it for less than 5 seasons. Also, to help out the sport of Field hockey, the goggles that the sport uses are also used for lacrosse. So, when you are playing field hockey you can use the goggles for lacrosse.

On the other hand, maybe you want to play something else. Like lacrosse! lacrosse, (French: “the crosier”) competitive sport, a modern version of the North American Indian game of Baggataway, in which two teams of players use long-handled, a racket implements (crosses) to catch, carry, or throw a ball down the field or into the opponents’ goal. This is very different from field hockey. Field hockey as said above has a stick that is close to the ground and the hockey game ball is always on the ground unless maybe shooting. Lacrosse, on the other hand, can be both in the air and on the ground. But if the ball is on the ground it is always picked up, not with the hands with the racket, to scoop it up in the net to eventually throw to teammates to get in the goal, past the goalie.

Why Would You Be Interested In These Sports?

Yes, I didn’t include some sports that people might want to play maybe like ice hockey, ping pong, and many other sports. But, many people like physical or in this case running end to end on maybe a field or a court, because they like the interactions of the player’s movements and their actions towards their teammates. Football is a great example of this type of subject! Many Football fans love certain players because of the player’s tricks and skills of carrying the win of the game. This is also the case for Basketball and Baseball. So, this would be a popular suggestion for Penns Valley.
