As the 2022 football regular season ends, playoffs begin, and it’s win or goes home. The Penns Valley Rams finished the regular season with a solid record of 8-2 after their shutout game against Bellwood Antis. Penns Valley was ranked second in the AA bracket and had to face the Mount Union Trojans in the first round of playoffs. The Rams fought hard during the game and pulled through with a resounding 55-7 victory over the Trojans. In the next round of playoffs, Penns Valley faced Bald Eagle.

Bald Eagle had beaten Penns Valley early in the regular season and the Rams were hungry for revenge. The game was close until the 4th quarter when the Rams pulled away to win 34-14.

The Rams for only the second time in school history, have made it to the PIAA AA District 6 Championship game. They faced the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders at Mansion Park, Altoona. The game was not easy and the score at half was 21-28 BG. Coming out of the half, Bishop marched down the field and scored multiple times while Penns Valley only scored twice. As the clock ticked to zero, the Marauders defeated Penns Valley 35-56 and were district 6 champions. The Rams showed great sportsmanship by staying on the field and applauding the winning team as they were all given medals.

The Rams kept their heads high as they walked off the field and they will remember this season for the rest of their lives.
