As we all know high school is very stressful. We all get the opportunity to pick our classes toward the end of the year. The question is, “How can I enjoy the year but have the same core classes and pass all of them?”
A senior once said, “I took a lot of Mr. Howell and Mr. Wise classes because they are very laid back, and once you get them telling a story, they don’t stop, and I promise they are all very interesting and the least it will do is have you smirk”. Many of their classes involve non-college set paths. They give you knowledge of the outside world to help you with college and your career path by using the agricultural or construction/metal work aspect.
Next, we have Mr. Farley’s classes. A top fan favorite, he introduces you to the large environment of the film industry and the inside look of the film that you don’t know about, behind the scenes. He shows you how to work a camera and all the angles, and you get to watch movies all block in one of his classes. How cool is that?
Finally, we have any gym class that you can get your hands on if you are okay with working out and doing physical activity. For example, you can do all of them in your high school career: Fundamentals of Strength and Conditioning; which is just working out. You can also pick Principles of Fitness, which is just another gym class but you also lift. You get your mandatory gym class.
All of these classes help shape you and your look on school. It is all up to you to pick the classes you want and hopefully get them for you to enjoy and learn at the same time. In conclusion, any elective class that has you hands-on every day if not most days, you will enjoy.
