This year on November 15th, the juniors take on the seniors in a football game. They’ll go head to head to see who can win and be able to show their flag football skills. The game starts at 7:00 sharp, so be there. I am a junior and I’m ready for game day, we start practicing on Monday the 6th and we’ll have 5 practices to go to make our plays and figure out who will be where and what positions everyone will be in.
The seniors have some pretty good people who will be playing, we are just going to need to step up our game and make some interesting plays to trick them. Some background information on Powderpuff is it emerged in the 1930s and woman wanted to showcase their athletic abilities so they decided to organize their own version of the game. Powderpuff in recent years has become more and more popular in high schools and has been very entertaining for people to watch. The boys will be the cheerleaders, they will come up with a dance routine and start practicing because they will be performing a half-time show.
I’m really looking forward to it because it’s all about having fun with your friends but there’s still a sense of you wanting to win. I know the seniors will come out and have some really good plays, we as juniors need to work together and make some good plays. I think it might end up being a close game but I think we as juniors can maybe pull out a win and beat the seniors. November 15th, come out and support and be ready.
