Last Thursday, Penns Valley was helped by the PVYC to host the annual Mud Volleyball Tournament. The tournament consisted of 9 student made teams that played on one grass court and on one mud court. Games were played to 11 and each team was given at least one chance to play in the mud court while spectators and students on break could enjoy the PVYC hosted stand
The Stand itself offered pizza that was made at the stand. Ice pops, Citrus drinks and water all for anyone at the event. It created good times for anyone trying to watch some volleyball gameplay and gave every competetor soem fuel for their games to come.
The championship game offered the best entertainment for the night as it was faught bewteen the BTC and the Quarduple Revenge of the Cocker Spaniel(QRCS) in games to 15. Previous to the final, The BTC had come out victorious and was undefeated to the finals match. BTC needed to beat the QRCS only once while they had to beat the BTC twice. The first game started slow but in the end the QRCS came out victorious to take game one. Game two was an intense battle that came down to the last point. With a 15 to 13 win, the QRCS had pulled the upset and the double comeback over BTC to take the win.
At the end of the day, the event was very succeful and gave students the opportunity to spend time with friends and get some food. The PVYC allowed the school to host this event and made it as successful as it was. Thanks to them and the referees, the event went smoothly and was a great way to celebrate the end of the year in a fun style.
